Meeting Christopher (2nd time): Story
My apologies for letting this blog not be posted on for over a year. Lots has been going on lately in my life.
One of the most amazing events that occurred was meeting Christopher outside the 42 premiere this past year. How it all went down was more than amazing.
I was waiting outside before the premiere with many other fans hoping to get a quick picture or autograph from the cast. Christopher was walking down the line (next to the gate) signing for everyone and was almost near me when his handler told him that he needed to do more interviews and had to go.
Just as he was about to turn, I yelled "Christopher, will you please sign my sign for you?" He looked over and saw my sign which said "Christopher Meloni is a home run"with baseballs around it. He smiled, laughed, and signed it.
I then asked him if I could get a photo and he said "of course." As I grabbed my phone and prepared to take a "selfie" with him, he took my phone and said, "no, I'll take it for us." It would have been an awkward angle had he not taken it, so I was extremely thankful and excited. As he held my phone, I tried to change my camera to front-mode and it wouldn't go. I apologized to him and he said "don't worry and take your time."
Finally, the camera worked and Christopher held up my phone to take the photo of us. I put my hand on his shoulder and one of the photographers for the movie saw and came over and took a wide shot of Christopher taking the photo of the two of us.
After the photo was taken, I thanked him immensely and started to tear up. He smiled and said "of course".
Thank you Christopher for such a perfect day!
